September 2011 Saw the Alternative and edgy styled model Navada Rudden Stewart travel down from bonny Scotland for a day of shooting for he modeling portfolio this day involved a studio shoot where we planned our concept around edgy high end fashion and a location based shoot in an abandoned railway train yard with a vintagey feel to the shoot.
Realy enjoyed shooting throughout the day and we produced some stunning work for her portfolio that added that something different to her work that she had already check out the blog and fashion modeling section for more examples.

August saw me taking a little bit off time of my usual portrait work being asked by psyche to help out with their autumn collection which was coming into store as it was their busy period and their usual photographer was due to get married and jet off for her honeymoon, so this meant a 9 - 5 job for a month travelling down to middlesbrough from Newcastle, photographing their stock that was coming in, this ranged from Barbour through to Armani and Lulu Guinness, also during the time down their I worked with some staff in the store to produce photographs for the home page seen below as well as doing some plate shots of the store to be used for their re - opening of the redesigned womens wear.

I booked up mayfield studio for one evening to work with the two models georgia and toni to produce a series of images to help add and improve their fast growing portfolios, with georgia we had chatted and decided to go for the high key, high fashion style of work utilising one of the sets we had at our disposal, we also tried a more haunting style shot that are still on my list to edit.
Secondly we had Toni who had just a few photoshoots under her belt but you couldnt tell, she had a lot of good ideas and once exaplaining what i was looking for from the shot she was able to pull it off with ease, great look and a fantastic body which worked for the style of images we were wanting to produce.

Had a few photographic shoots booked in for the month of June most notably working at banana studio on a fashion shoot with 4 stunning models and the fantastic hair stylist 'michelle Selby' the day included working through a number of different on set locations to produce an array of photographs to best show off the models and the hair, makeup and styling. This process involved trying a few different lighting setups something which I am aiming to do over the upcoming months to try and get something new from my work.
Been looking into how I am displaying my work and looking into the use of diptychs and triptychs in my work to best show of a set.

Been neglecting this page for a while, one of the curses of facebook i suppose, being so easy to add and update on there but thought it was time to add some stuff up on here for those of you who follow my work but arnt aware of my facebook page and will hopefully aim to keep this much more updated from here on in.
Ok onto the work and what ive been up to lately, this was a shoot back in March which i was apart of situated in a religious retreat up in slayley, had a tonne to edit so eventualy got around to this set and i am thrilled with the results and have a few more from this set to work through when i get a spare minute but here are my favourites for you to see. All photos from this set are just using a 1 light setup with different types of light sources from softboxes and beauty dishes through to a gridded bare light.
Middle two shots have been giving the treatment in photoshop giving them a slight blueish / purpleish cross processed look, other few tweaked just a bit, levels, curves, shading etc.

April saw the gorgeous and very talented Rachael Lyon travel down the country from not so sunny Scotland for a road trip with a couple of models through the north east and i was privileged to get an opportyunity, this girl is amazing she has only been modeling fully since January and already has such a diverse and striking portfolio, definately worth booking her i can see her having a big big future ahead of her.
We were meant to be doing a location shoot in the morning before the studio shoot but the rubbish weather saw the end to that and we just had to settle with the studio, shame would of loved to get some location work shot with her.

March saw me take on the overton susters, being ashalies birthday her sister natalie organised for them to have an evening at banana studio for a photoshoot together some singles and some of them all together, ashalie took to it like a duck to water a natural like her older sister and they look so similar see previous post.
Also myself and a couple of other photographers organised a group shoot us 3 and 5 models to collaborate on some photographs, my favourites of the day being siobhan saw in the previous post and this one of beth.

Busy start to the year at the end of the month i had the chance to shoot the gorgeous siobhan at a group shoot i organised creating a stunning black and white head shot utilising some infra red effects to get a striking portrait.
Also a previous shoot of Natalie Overton was selected by Deviant magazine for a feature in the rapidly growing online magazine spanning over 4 pages and an advert posted for my photography services.
And first few weeks saw me out photographing Tijan at an abandoned building down near the river in newcastle upon Tyne, tring a few different styles and look, this guy is a natural taking to everything with ease.
